Information We Use

Aurify uses account details, profile settings, room activity, library data, queue activity, and connected service information to operate music rooms and account features.

Cookies and Device Storage

Aurify and connected services use cookies, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and similar technologies to store or access information on your device. Most of this is essential: it keeps you signed in, remembers playback state and preferences, and protects the service. Aurify also uses advertising measurement cookies, which are not essential and are described separately below.

Advertising and Conversion Measurement

Aurify uses Google Ads conversion tracking. When you create an account, Aurify reports to Google Ads that a registration took place, so we can tell whether an advert led to someone joining. To do this, Google may set or read cookies and similar identifiers on your device, including a click identifier from an advert you followed, and may combine that with information Google already holds about you. Aurify receives counts and performance figures from this. We are not shown a list of who saw or clicked an advert, and this measurement is not used to build profiles inside Aurify.

Google's Role in Advertising

For advertising measurement, Google decides how and why it processes the information it collects, and so acts as a data controller in its own right rather than simply on our behalf. Its handling of that information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and by the Google Ads terms. Where required, Google relies on standard safeguards for transferring data outside the UK and EU.

Your Choices Over Advertising

Advertising measurement is not needed for Aurify to work, and refusing it changes nothing about the app. You can block third-party cookies in your browser, use a tracker-blocking extension, or turn off ad personalisation in your Google account at myadcenter.google.com. You can also ask us what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can raise it with the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.

Rooms, Chat, and Library Activity

Rooms, chat messages, playlists, queues, saved rooms, recently played items, and moderation signals may be stored so Aurify can provide shared listening, history, safety, and room management features.

Third-Party Services

Spotify, YouTube, Google, and other connected services are third-party services. Their own privacy policies, terms, account rules, and availability apply when you use those features through Aurify.

YouTube API Services

Aurify may use YouTube API Services to search public YouTube content, show video metadata and thumbnails, and add YouTube results to room queues. Google Privacy Policy terms apply to YouTube-related features.

Your Choices

You can adjust account, privacy, and presence settings where available, disconnect third-party services, leave rooms, or contact support for account questions.
